Every year we see a new wave of articles and social media posts about New Year’s resolutions. People talk about the things they wish to change or update, old habits want to break away from, and the ever present struggle that we’ve all gotten to know when it comes to sticking with our goals throughout the year. If you are looking for some great ideas on how to manage or modify your goals in 2019, check out our studio-curated list here [ ← hyperlink].
For the past twelve months, we have been engaging our audience with fun and inspiring content, and our New Year’s resolution is very simple- to continue delivering high quality content you can rely on as a valuable resource for life, love, and peace. The power of photography is the ability to document who you really are. What is the story you want your family to see decades into the future when your great grandchildren share your greatest prints capturing the spirit you carried in this life? What do you want your own children to see when you tell them about your grandparents and great grandparents’ lives? Do you only have a selfie or two with them, on a phone that is popular today, but may be obsolete tomorrow? Make sure you have properly documented your family legacy with fine art prints that tell the full story of life and shared love, and truly stand the rest of time.
I would say that the purpose of this article was separate from that of stressing the significance of professional photography for you and your family, however, it is always important that you make it a point to capture precious memories of yourself as well as the ones you love most in this life! Now that that has been said, the main point of this post is actually to share some very good news! As previously mentioned, we have been publishing some pretty amazing content over the past year (these are words from our readers- I promise!), and coming into 2019, we wanted to freshen up our curatorial processes by getting even more people involved. We believe that life is more powerful when it is lived together, so we would be honored to hear from you this month and in the future! What are some of the things you would like for us to talk about during the year of 2019? Fill out the form below to let us know.
Many blogs and organizations ask for feedback from their readers so they can simply vault up all the responses they receive, however, we want to actually engage in genuine conversation with you! When you fill out the form at the bottom of this page, we will be entirely thrilled to reach out to get a full and interactive understanding of your interests. As we prepare our content for the rest of the year, we will be looking to the conversations had with our audience to facilitate experiences that are that much more meaningful because it will have been created “by the people, for the people.”
You know, as the portrait specialist, I always find it particularly interesting to see how the success of this blog came to be, and it reminds me just how grateful I am for the many things I have seen photography do throughout my life and career. From the power of color, to the strength of a mother, to the knowledge of yourself and so much more, a great lesson I found I had really reconnected with is that photography is so much more than just a way to document the history of a person or a moment. To be clear, professional photography remains the most powerful way to capture the truth of a person or moment, however, the additional strength of a photograph is in its ability to evoke real life emotions and feelings of wonder and bliss whenever viewed. Understanding that the world is in need of more love and positivity, I have long been an advocate for documenting images of love and gratitude, to ensure you have surrounded yourself and your family with quality portraits that cause you to see and think positively in everyday life.
As we find ourselves in the fullness of a new year/season, one thing that remains the same is the value of positivity. Whenever we enter a new season of life -aka the great unknown- it can be tricky to navigate the uncertainty of what lies ahead. This is why when you surround yourself with positive people and energies you can trust, life feels full and purposeful. You know I always find a way to remind you of how the world is in need of more love and positivity, and I love how everything we do here at studio is to help promote those elements in the lives of our audience. This will remain our focus through the new year, and we hope it will remain a focus in your life as well.
Thank you so much for the love and encouragement we have received throughout the last twelve months. I look forward to creating many more memorable experiences with you, and wish you the absolute best in your future.
