When I think of how important these photographs will be to us, I wonder why so many people resort to do-it-yourself photography, serving as their own photographer. In just a second, a lifetime of photos could be lost on faulty laptops or cellphones. Photographs should be tangible, in my opinion – displayed as artwork around the home so they can be cherished daily, adding warmth and character to your living space. Our special family moments are so precious to us, it is a shame to keep them stashed on our computers or social media profiles rather than treating them with the importance they deserve. Though taking your own photographs may be convenient, it may have a negative impact in the long run as it does not do our most beloved moments justice nor preserve them in a reliable way.
