THE CHILD MODELING BLUEPRINT
From First Photo to First Booking
Everyone Says Your Child Should Model. Now What?
If friends, family—or even complete strangers—keep telling you:
“Your child should be a model!”
you may have started wondering...
Could they really do this?
Where do I begin?
Does my child need professional photographs?
How do I find a legitimate agency?
What do agencies actually look for?
How do castings work?
What should my child wear?
How much should this cost?
How do I know what's legitimate?
And most importantly...
How do I protect my child while giving them the opportunity to try?
I've spent more than 35 years on both sides of the camera.
Now I'm going to show you what I wish every parent knew before entering the child modeling world.
You Don't Need Connections. You Need a Blueprint.
Child modeling can feel like a completely different world when you're standing on the outside.
Agencies. Submissions. Photographs. Castings. Callbacks. Clients. Releases. Fees.
And everyone seems to have a different opinion about what you're supposed to do.
That's exactly why I created The Child Modeling Blueprint.
This isn't about promising that your child will become a star.
No one can promise that.
It's about helping you understand the business so you can make informed decisions, avoid unnecessary
mistakes and give your child the best opportunity to enter the industry the right way.
Step by step.
From that first photograph...
to that first potential booking.
Hi, I'm Lucille Khornak
Long before I began teaching parents about this business, I experienced the industry from the inside.
I started my career as a professional model and later moved behind the camera, becoming a fashion,
beauty and advertising photographer.
I've photographed advertising campaigns, including work for brands such as Cheerios and Givenchy, and
I've spent decades photographing children and learning what makes a child connect with the camera.
I've authored three books and appeared on more than 80 television and radio programs, including The
Today Show, Good Morning America and Oprah.
Today, after more than 35 years as a professional photographer, there is something I understand more
clearly than ever:
The cutest child doesn't automatically get the job.
There is so much more to it.
Personality.
Expression.
Confidence.
Timing.
Professionalism.
Being right for a particular client.
And having a parent who understands how the business works.
That's what I want to teach you.
Is Modeling Right for YOUR Child?
Before you send a single photograph to an agency, I want you to answer a much more important question:
Will your child actually enjoy this?
Some children light up when the camera appears.
Others need time.
Some are outgoing.
Some have a quiet quality that photographs beautifully.
And sometimes a child simply isn't interested—and that's okay too.
One of the most important principles you'll learn inside the Blueprint is this:
Modeling should fit into childhood. It should never become childhood.
School. Friends. Sports. Vacations. Family dinners. Playing outside.
Those things matter.
And if your child stops enjoying the experience, you can stop.
This course is about pursuing an opportunity while keeping your child's happiness and confidence at the
center of the experience.
What You'll Learn Inside The Child Modeling Blueprint
MODULE 1 — Welcome to the Journey
We'll start at the beginning.
You'll learn what this industry really looks like and the basic path from wondering whether your child could
model to understanding how the professional process works.
No industry jargon required.
MODULE 2 — Is Modeling Right for Your Child?
You'll learn what I look for beyond a beautiful face—including personality, temperament, confidence and
whether your family is realistically ready for the commitment.
We'll also talk about something parents don't hear enough:
Success doesn't have to mean getting booked.
Confidence, experience and learning to be comfortable in front of a camera can have value far beyond
modeling.
MODULE 3 — Understanding the Child Modeling Industry
Who actually hires child models?
What does an agency do?
What happens at a casting?
Why does one child get selected while another doesn't?
I'll take you behind the scenes so the process stops feeling mysterious.
You'll learn why rejection often has nothing to do with whether your child is beautiful or talented.
Sometimes a client simply needs a particular look, age, size, personality or combination on that particular
day.
MODULE 4 — The Photographs That Open Doors
This is where my decades behind the camera become your advantage.
You'll learn:
When simple snapshots may be enough
When professional photographs make sense
What your child should wear
What photographs agencies need to see
Expression versus posing
Common photographic mistakes parents make
Most importantly:
Your child's photographs should look like your child.
Real always wins.
MODULE 5 — Finding the Right Agency & Avoiding Costly Mistakes
A legitimate agency can open doors.
But an agency cannot guarantee your child a career.
You'll learn what professional agencies actually do, what questions to ask, what to research before
submitting and how to recognize situations that deserve a closer look.
You'll also learn how to approach the relationship professionally without becoming the parent who calls the
agency every day.
MODULE 6 — Auditions, Castings & Getting the Job
What happens when your child gets an opportunity?
I'll help you understand how to prepare without making your child feel rehearsed or pressured.
You'll learn what to expect, how to help your child walk in feeling comfortable and why sometimes not
getting the job has absolutely nothing to do with how well they did.
MODULE 7 — The Business Side of Child Modeling
This is the part many parents don't think about until money or paperwork appears.
We'll talk about agreements, model releases, earnings, questions to ask, knowing when to say no and
protecting your child's interests.
Most importantly, we'll talk about keeping modeling in perspective.
It is an opportunity within your child's life—not your child's entire life.
MODULE 8 — Your Child's Next Steps
By the end, you won't simply have watched a course.
You'll know what to do next.
You'll have a clearer understanding of your child, your photographs, potential agencies and whether
pursuing modeling makes sense for your family.
This Isn't Just a Course. You'll Have a Plan.
Along with the video lessons, you'll receive your Child Modeling Blueprint Workbook.
Throughout the course you'll stop, think and take action.
You'll evaluate your child's readiness.
Review their current photographs.
Research agencies.
Write down questions.
Think through family expectations.
And make decisions based on your child—not somebody else's experience.
I don't want you finishing this course thinking:
"That was interesting."
I want you thinking:
"I know what to do next."

What If My Child Doesn't Get Signed?
Then I want you to remember something.
A modeling agency doesn't determine your child's worth.
A casting director doesn't determine it.
A client doesn't determine it.
Sometimes the most valuable thing a child gains from trying something new isn't the job.
It's confidence.
It's learning how to walk into an unfamiliar room.
It's becoming comfortable meeting new people.
It's learning that hearing “no” doesn't mean I'm not good enough.
And it's discovering:
I can try something new.
That lesson can last much longer than a modeling job.
Who Is The Child Modeling BlueprintTM For?
This course was created for the parent who:
Keeps hearing that their child should model but doesn't know where to begin
Has a child who loves being photographed or performing
Is wondering whether their baby, child, tween or teen has modeling potential
Wants to understand agencies before contacting them
Doesn't know which photographs to submit
Wants to avoid unnecessary mistakes and expenses
Wants professional guidance without putting pressure on their child
Wants to explore the opportunity while protecting their child's childhood
You don't need industry experience.
You don't need an agent already.
And you certainly don't need to have everything figured out.
That's why I created the Blueprint.

“But Can You Guarantee My Child Will Get Work?”
No.
And I would be very cautious of anyone who tells you they can.
No course, photographer or agency can guarantee that a child will be signed by an agency, selected at a
casting or booked for a job.
What I can do is teach you how the industry works, help you prepare more intelligently and give you the
information to make better decisions for your child and your family.
That's the difference between chasing an opportunity blindly...
and approaching it with a blueprint.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does my child need professional photographs before we begin?
Not necessarily.
One of the things you'll learn is when simple, current photographs may be appropriate and when investing
in professional photographs makes sense.
What age does my child need to be?
The course discusses children at different stages, from babies and young children through tweens and
teens. Your approach naturally changes depending on your child's age, personality and interest.
What if my child is shy?
Being shy doesn't automatically mean modeling isn't possible. What matters is your child's overall comfort
and willingness to participate. You'll learn how to think about readiness without forcing something that isn't
right for your child.
Will this help me find an agency?
I'll teach you what to look for, what questions to ask and how to research agencies in your area so you can
make a more informed decision.
Does purchasing the course guarantee representation or bookings?
No. Modeling opportunities depend on many factors outside anyone's control. The Blueprint is an
educational program designed to help parents understand and navigate the process.
What if we decide modeling isn't right for our child?
Then the course has still done something important.
You made an informed decision.
There is tremendous value in knowing when an opportunity fits your child—and when it doesn't.
One Last Thing From Me...
I've photographed countless children throughout my career.
I've watched what happens when a child feels comfortable in front of a camera.
Their shoulders relax.
Their personality appears.
And suddenly you see them.
That's what I want parents to protect throughout this entire experience.
Your child doesn't need to become someone else to model.
They don't need to be the prettiest child in the room.
And they don't need to book every job.
They need the opportunity to show up as themselves.
If modeling becomes part of their story, wonderful.
If it becomes an experience that gives them confidence and then they move on, that's wonderful too.
The greatest success isn't raising a child who gets booked.
It's raising a child who believes in themselves.
If you're ready to explore this world with knowledge instead of guesswork, I'd love to guide you.
